NutriHydro is a plant nutrient concentrate solution used in hydroponics, aeroponics, fertigation, sprinklers, foliar, and drenching. USE OF TDS METERS:
For users who want to ensure maximum yield from lettuce crops, it is recommended to use a TDS meter. TDS is short for Total Dissolved Sediments Meter. It is used as it is called, to measure total dissolved sediments in water. Doing so gives you a guide n how much nutrient solution is in the water. It is recommended that you use a TDS meter so you can measure objectively and eliminate guess work.
During summers, a TDS reading of 600 ppm or EC vale of 1.2 is recommended. The heat and the abundant sun reacts with nutrients when fed at levels beyond 600 ppm.
During moderate weather, TDS can be increased to 850 ppm or EC value at 1.4.
USE OF PH TESTER:
It is a must to use a pH meter. After diluting nutrients in your reservoir, measure the pH and add the appropriate pH adjuster (Up or Down). Measure again and use the appropriate pH adjuster until you reach your desired pH level.
For lettuce seedlings, it is recommended to keep pH levels at 5.8 . For lettuce at its growth stage, it is recommended to keep pH levels between 6.0 to 6.5.
Proper pH levels allow crops to UPtake maximum nutrients POSSIBLE:
Going below the recommended pH increases the ability of crops to uptake micronutrients but diminishes the potential uptake of macronutrients. A low pH will show signs of poor crop health and stunted growth.
Growing lettuce beyond the recommended pH increases the ability of crops to uptake macronutrients but diminishes the ability of crops to uptake micronutrients leading to yellow, unhealthy crops, and bolting crops.
